RTI & human rights activists launch awareness campaigns

The Telangana RTI & Human Rights Activists Association has launched an awareness campaign ahead of the upcoming municipal elections on February 11, 2026, urging citizens to exercise their voting rights responsibly. In a statement released on the occasion of the "Municipal Elections Day," the association expressed gratitude to the Telangana State Election Commission for declaring a paid holiday for employees in government offices, private institutions, shopping malls, industries, and other establishments on polling day. 

This measure ensures that workers and employees can participate in the democratic process without financial hardship. The group released a poster emphasizing the importance of every eligible voter casting their ballot. It called on citizens to vote with full commitment to democracy and the Constitution, selecting leaders who demonstrate genuine concern for public issues and respond effectively to people's problems. 

On behalf of the Telangana RTI & Human Rights Activists Association, the organization appealed to the public to fulfill their civic duty by choosing good leaders who prioritize public welfare. The poster release event was attended by key members of the association including Ajay Kumar, Chairman, Telangana chapter; Dhara Maunika, President ; Venkat Narsimha Reddy, General Secretary; Pochayya, Head of RTI & Human Rights ; Srinivas, Legal Advisor and others.
