Marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Central Zone Police organized a 2K awareness run in Warangal. The event was flagged off by Police Commissioner Sunpreet Singh along with MLAs, District Collectors, and the KUDA Chairman.

The run witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and youth across the Tri-City region. It commenced from the Warangal Police Commissionerate office and concluded at the Arts and Science College Grounds in Subedari. Winners of the run were presented with medals and certificates by the dignitaries. Commissioner Sunpreet Singh cautioned students and youth against experimenting with drugs, stating that even a single instance of drug use can ruin lives and push young people into darkness.

Warangal West MLA Nayini Rajender Reddy appealed to young people to stay away from harmful addictions and maintain a healthy lifestyle. He also highlighted the establishment of the Eagle Force to strengthen efforts against drug trafficking and abuse. Wardhannapet MLA K.R. Nagaraju urged the public to immediately report any incidents involving the sale or consumption of narcotic substances by calling the police helpline 1908.

At the conclusion of the event, participating students and youth took a pledge to serve as "Anti-Drug Soldiers" and work towards eliminating drug abuse from society.
