The NTR Bharosa social pension distribution program is progressing enthusiastically across Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. By noon, 87.96% of the pension distribution had been completed, with Rs.2,397 cr disbursed to beneficiaries. Secretariat staff have been personally delivering pensions to beneficiaries at their doorsteps, while officials are closely monitoring the process using geo-tagging technology.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu took part in the pension distribution drive in Gangadhara Nellore, Chittoor district. He visited homes in BC and SC colonies, personally handing over pensions to beneficiaries and inquiring about their well-being.
During his visit, the Chief Minister was deeply moved by the plight of a toddy tapper’s family. In response, he directed officials to deposit Rs.2 lakh each as a fixed deposit for the man’s two granddaughters. He also ordered their admission into a welfare school and sanctioned a house for the family. Under the Vatsalya Scheme, he ensured that both girls would receive Rs.4,000 each per month—a total of Rs.8,000—until they turned 18.
As part of his tour, Chandrababu Naidu interacted with local residents in Gangadhara Nellore, taking selfies with them and engaging in discussions about their concerns.
