In a strong articulation of Jana Sena Party’s ideological direction, party president and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan declared that safeguarding India’s unity and integrity remains the party’s foremost commitment. Addressing the “Sena Prasthanam for National Integration” conclave in New Delhi, Pawan asserted that Jana Sena would stand firmly against all forces seeking to divide the country along regional, linguistic, religious or political lines.

Speaking before party MPs, MLAs, MLCs and leaders from multiple states, Pawan emphasized that Jana Sena was not born out of a quest for power or political positions but from a desire to strengthen the nation. “Nation first, everything else next,” he said, describing it as the guiding principle of the party since its inception in 2014. The choice of Delhi as the venue was deliberate, Pawan noted. Calling the national capital a symbol of sacrifice, patriotism and constitutional governance, he said every Indian’s aspirations are connected to Delhi. He recalled the immense efforts of India’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in integrating hundreds of princely states into a united nation and said Jana Sena draws inspiration from that legacy.

Pawan warned against divisive politics and criticized leaders who frequently invoke regional sentiments for political gains. In a pointed remark, he said some leaders speak about bending Delhi’s neck while in their states but fall silent once they arrive in the national capital. He stressed that Jana Sena would use Delhi’s platform not for political theatrics but to advocate national progress, unity and constitutional values.

The Jana Sena chief also reiterated his long-held position on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. Clarifying that he never opposed the formation of Telangana, Pawan said his criticism was directed at the manner in which the Congress government handled the state’s division. The rushed and poorly executed process, he argued, left unresolved disputes over assets and institutions while creating long-term dissatisfaction in both Telugu states.

He questioned why Telangana movement martyrs have not been accorded the recognition and respect they deserve even after 12 years of the state’s formation. He said the sacrifices made during the Telangana statehood movement continue to inspire him. Recalling that nearly 1,200 people laid down their lives for the cause, Pawan said Telangana is a land of immense sacrifice and determination, and that he holds deep respect for its people and their struggle.

The Jana Sena chief alleged that he was previously denied permission when he sought to pay tributes to the Telangana martyrs. He also criticized political leaders who, according to him, rose to power on the sacrifices of the youth who participated in the movement. Pawan Kalyan asserted that Jana Sena remains committed to fulfilling the original aspirations of the Telangana movement and called upon party leaders and cadres to remain united and work towards securing the long-term interests and welfare of the people.

Highlighting Jana Sena’s political journey, Pawan said the party has completed twelve years despite facing setbacks, defeats and periods of uncertainty. What began with limited organizational strength has now evolved into a political force with over 20 lakh members, 21 MLAs and representation in Parliament. He described this growth as evidence that the party’s ideology is resonating with people beyond Andhra Pradesh.

According to Pawan, Jana Sena’s appeal is expanding into states such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, where individuals are increasingly expressing interest in the party’s nationalist outlook. He said the party’s philosophy seeks to unite diverse communities through shared national values while respecting regional identities and cultures.

A significant portion of his speech focused on the responsibilities of Jana Sena’s parliamentary representatives. He urged the party’s MPs not to confine themselves to constituency issues but to raise concerns affecting the entire nation. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, they must speak on issues related to national security, constitutional values and the country’s long-term interests, he said.

Pawan also stressed the importance of instilling patriotism and civic responsibility among Generation Z. Young Indians must be educated about both their constitutional rights and duties. Building a generation rooted in integrity, national consciousness and ethical public life is essential for India’s future progress.

The Delhi conclave marks a significant ideological milestone for Jana Sena. Beyond electoral politics, the party is attempting to project itself as a movement committed to national integration and constitutional nationalism. As Jana Sena seeks to expand its footprint beyond Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan’s message from the national capital was clear: the party intends to position itself not merely as a regional force, but as a political platform anchored in the idea of a united India.
