Jana Sena Party (JSP) General Secretary Nagababu launched a scathing attack on YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy during a massive public gathering in Somala village, Punganur constituency, as part of the ‘Janamloki Janasena’ campaign. Addressing the gathering, Nagababu stated that he was warned about Peddireddy’s influence in the region but asserted that neither he nor the Jana Sena Party feared him or any other political leader.
“People here say everyone is afraid of Peddireddi. Some even warned me to be careful. But let me be clear—we were never afraid of Jagan Mohan Reddy, his father Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, or any of their loyalists. Why would we fear Peddireddy or anyone else?” Nagababu declared, reinforcing JSP's stand under the leadership of Pawan Kalyan.
Nagababu alleged that Peddireddy was involved in large-scale land grabbing, accusing him of destroying crucial land records to cover up his misdeeds. He claimed that Peddireddy orchestrated the burning of files at the Madanapalle Tehsildar's office, particularly those related to 22A government lands, a fact that he said was confirmed by the CID. He warned that under the coalition government, corrupt individuals would not escape justice. “No one who has wronged the people will be spared,” he asserted.
Taking a dig at YSRCP legislators, Nagababu ridiculed them for their frequent absence from the Assembly, suggesting they lacked the courage to participate in debates. He mocked YSRCP’s claim that their voices were being silenced, stating, “How will they be given a microphone in the Assembly when they don’t even show up?”
Accusing Peddireddy of amassing Rs.2 lakh crore in illegal assets, Nagababu criticized him for failing to represent his constituency in the legislature. He also questioned the use of the 11 MLAs who won under YSRCP if they were unwilling to attend sessions and raise concerns.
On this occasion, Nagababu highlighted several initiatives taken by the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP coalition government since coming to power, from increasing the social welfare pensions to Rs.4,000 a month to providing free gas cylinders to eligible beneficiaries. In regard to Capital and Infrastructure Development, he stated that AP secured Rs.15,000 crore for Amaravati’s development, and obtained Rs.12,000 crore from the Centre for the Polavaram irrigation project.
Nagababu’s address at Punganur underscored the coalition government’s aggressive push for development and its firm stance against corruption. He urged the people to recognize the significant policy changes and welfare initiatives implemented since the change in leadership, calling on YSRCP leaders to stop misleading the public and acknowledge the positive transformation happening across the state.
