The ruling Congress party in Telangana has secured a resounding victory in the recent municipal elections, with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka hailing the results as an endorsement of the government's focus on development, welfare, and transparent governance. Speaking at a media conference in Madhira on Monday, Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized that the party's strong performance—securing control over a significant majority of municipalities across the state—served as a direct rebuttal to critics who had previously labeled Congress as primarily a rural-based force.
The Deputy Chief Minister expressed deep gratitude to voters for delivering a massive mandate, similar to the support seen in previous Assembly, Parliamentary, and Panchayat elections. The results, he stated, underscore growing public confidence in the Congress-led administration under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Over the past two years, the state cabinet has pursued a balanced approach, advancing both infrastructure development and welfare programs to drive progress in urban centers.
Looking ahead, the Deputy Chief Minister highlighted ambitious long-term goals outlined in the Vision 2047 document, which aims to transform Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047. "Through the Vision 2047 document, we will transform Telangana into a global hub.The government is prioritizing large-scale job creation through industrialization while bolstering infrastructure to match rapid urbanization.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is personally overseeing municipal administration to ensure holistic urban development.” the Deputy Chief Minister asserted. Bhatti Vikramarka assured that the government would intensify its development and welfare initiatives in response to the renewed public trust demonstrated in the elections.
