The Water Board officials swamped down on consumers attaching motors to taps. Vigilance staff have identified consumers who are illegally drawing water by attaching electric motors directly to the water board pipelines and seized the motors. On Friday, O&M Division No. 2, Moosarambagh Section visited areas 12, 13, and 14 of Shalivahana Nagar Road and seized 8 motors illegally attached to the pipeline .

The guilty were warned that if the motors are attached for the second time, a fine of Rs. 5000 would be imposed and cases would be registered. Officials appealed to consumers to reach out to customer care in case of low pressure water supply. The customer care number is: 155313.
