Mallu Ravi, the MP from Nagarkurnool, has called for the removal of Jagadish Reddy from his MLA position due to his disrespectful remarks directed at Speaker Prasad Kumar during the Legislative Assembly session.

In a statement released on Friday, Ravi criticised the BRS party for its longstanding disregard for Dalits. He accused former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of betraying his promise to appoint a Dalit Chief Minister, instead asserting that Dalits were unsuitable for leadership and assuming the role himself.

The Congress MP recounted previous incidents of humiliation faced by Dalit leaders, including the dismissal of Dalit Deputy Chief Minister Rajaiah and the cancellation of Dalit MLA Sampath Kumar’s membership in 2017. He also noted the lack of respect shown to Meira Kumar, a Dalit leader and former Lok Sabha Speaker, during her visit to Telangana, where she was not granted an appointment.

Mallu Ravi emphasised that the BRS party has repeatedly disrespected Dalit leaders, citing Jagadish Reddy's derogatory comments towards Speaker Prasad Kumar, who is also a Dalit. He demanded that Jagadish Reddy’s MLA post be canceled immediately for his inappropriate behavior towards the Speaker.
