Malabar Gold & Diamonds hosted a visiting Māori cultural delegation at its flagship store in Hyderabad during the delegation’s India visit. The delegation is in the country as part of the “World & Us: New Zealand Festival – India Chapter”, a national cultural and creative exchange initiative being held across multiple Indian cities. The visit serves as a milestone in Malabar Gold & Diamonds marked its entry into New Zealand with a new store launch at Auckland in 2025. 

Through initiatives like this, Malabar Gold & Diamonds aims not only to bring its products to new markets but also to contribute meaningfully to cultural exchange and mutual appreciation. Commenting on the visit, M.P. Ahammad, Chairman, Malabar Group expressed his happiness on hosting the Māori delegation in Hyderabad and remarked that such exchanges allow for mutual respect, learning and connection. 

During the visit, the delegation was welcomed through a curated in-store experience which included culinary offerings of the Telugu states, presented in Malabar’s signature brand packaging. 

The delegation performed their signature haka at the store, captivating everyone present and delighting customers with a powerful display of Māori culture.
