BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) strongly criticized the Telangana Governor’s address in the Assembly, calling it a Congress manifesto rather than a Governor’s speech. He compared it to beating drums at a wedding and merely a spectacle without substance.

KTR accused the Congress government of misleading the Governor and failing to address crucial issues. He pointed out that an MLC who spoke in favour of BCs was suspended from the party, exposing Congress’s alleged disregard for backward communities.

Taking a dig at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, KTR remarked that the Congress government placed Congress Mata (mother) inside the Secretariat while keeping Congress Pita (father) outside. He assured that once BRS returns to power, both would be sent back to Gandhi Bhavan.

On farmers’ distress, KTR claimed that 480 farmers had died by suicide, yet the Governor’s speech did not offer a single word of reassurance to their families. He alleged that 35% of farm loan waivers had not been implemented and that the government falsely made the Governor declare that 100% of the loan waiver was completed.

He also blamed the Congress government for the growing water crisis, alleging that Revanth Reddy’s inefficiency was causing crops to dry up. He further accused ministers of demanding 30% commissions for clearing projects.

KTR criticized the financial mismanagement of the state, stating that the Congress government borrowed ₹1.62 lakh crore without fulfilling a single election guarantee. He also accused Congress of political violence against opposition workers and claimed that corruption money was being funneled to Delhi, turning governance into a commission-based system.
