The Karnataka government has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Polish institutions to establish an AI, Gaming and Deep-Tech Innovation Corridor, marking a key step in strengthening India–Poland technology collaboration.

The agreement was signed between the Department of Electronics, IT/BT and Science & Technology of Karnataka and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice, Poland, along with Kato.hub sp. z o.o., which operates the Katowice Gaming and Technology Hub. The signing ceremony took place at the Karnataka State Pavilion during the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi.

Officials said the partnership builds on earlier discussions held at the Bengaluru Tech Summit and formalises cooperation between Karnataka and the Katowice region in innovation-driven sectors. A major highlight of the LoI is the proposal to create a Karnataka–Katowice Digital and Gaming Corridor that will connect the two regions’ innovation ecosystems.

The collaboration will focus on Artificial Intelligence, deep-tech, gaming, immersive technologies and advanced digital solutions. It also aims to facilitate startup exchanges through incubation and acceleration programmes, soft-landing support, joint demo days, investor connects and innovation missions to enable cross-border market access.

The agreement further includes academic and research partnerships, joint R&D initiatives and applied research pilots. A joint task force will be formed to identify pilot projects and prepare an implementation roadmap.

Manjula N, Secretary to the Government, Department of Electronics, IT/BT and Science & Technology, said Karnataka remains committed to building outcome-oriented global partnerships in emerging technologies and positioning itself as a gateway for deeper India–EU innovation cooperation.
