Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) carried out demolitions at Narapalli Divyanagar in Medchal Malkajgiri district on Saturday. As per the complaints of the people living in the layouts here, alleged that a builder has developed layouts on 200 acres of land under Pocharam municipality limits.
There are a total of 2200 plots. More than 1,000 Singareni employees have reportedly purchased plots here. A high-rise compound wall around the layouts has been built citing security reasons. The wall was constructed by collecting Rs 10.5 crore from the owners of the plots under development fund. Locals complained to HYDRAA that NMR followers were closing the roads and not allowing people in the layouts not to venture out.
HYDRAA stepped in after locals complained that tens of acres of government land had been grabbed. The compound wall constructed across the road was demolished with bulldozers on Saturday morning. The 4-km compound wall was demolished by 12 heavy bull dozers to allow thousands of people to move freely and unhindered following legal provisions.
Today the high compound wall that was built across the road was demolished. HYDRAA also assured the locals that strict legal action would be taken against the concerned management based on the facts after the investigation is completed.
