Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Thursday urged the students from Assam to look beyond sightseeing and explore India’s rich history, cultural diversity and regional traditions.

Interacting with a 72-member Assam contingent at Lok Bhavan under the "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat - Yuva Sangam" Phase VII programme, the Governor encouraged students to understand the historical and architectural significance of landmarks such as Charminar and Golconda Fort, while experiencing Telangana’s language, cuisine, festivals and traditions.

He called upon the students to act as cultural ambassadors, promoting stronger ties between Assam and Telangana and fostering mutual respect and national integration. The programme, organised by the Union Ministry of Education in association with the University of Hyderabad, was held from October 23 to 29. The students shared their experiences and appreciated Hyderabad’s hospitality and technological development.
