Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath said on Monday that after the NDA government came to power, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed the people's representatives and government officials to make the city of Vijayawada which is part of the Amaravati region more beautiful. MP Kesineni Shivanath and MLA Gadde Rammohan laid the foundation stone for road no. 5 in Srinivasa Nagar Bank Colony.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) said that in a recent review meeting with CRDA officials, Minister Narayana said that the drainage and sewerage issues in the city were discussed. He assured that the issue of water logging from the flyovers to the roads has been brought to the notice of the National Highway authorities and the issues will be resolved soon.
Later MLA Gadde Rammohan said that CM Chandrababu Naidu has paid special attention to the overall development of Vijayawada city. He mentioned that Rs 200 crore has been sanctioned from CRDA funds for the development of the area, which is submerged in small rains. He also informed that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has promised to provide Rs 2,000 crore in the coming days if required if the DPR is given along with the Urban Development Master Plan. He said he was working with MP Kesineni Chinni and other MLAs to prepare the DPR.
