GITAM concludes two-week immersion program

The Television Broadcasting Courses, Experimental Animation and Media Management Practices at the GITAM School of Humanities and Social Sciences (GSHS), GITAM Deemed to be University, hosted the valedictory ceremony of the two-week National Academic Immersion Program (NAIP) on Friday. The event marked the successful conclusion of an intensive academic initiative aimed at shaping the next generation of media professionals. 

The program was conducted in association with MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU).  Held from 1 to 14 May 2026, the program provided students with comprehensive exposure to contemporary media practices, communication strategies, digital storytelling techniques and industry-oriented training modules. Speaking at the valedictory ceremony, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar, Head of the Department of Media Studies, highlighted that the program’s true strength lay in the spirit of curiosity, collaboration, and active engagement among participants. 

Dr. Anu Nair, Program Director at MIT-WPU, observed that students were highly engaged throughout the sessions and particularly benefited from the practical learning experiences. The program also featured the screening of two short videos created by the students.
