Dhi Contemporary, Hyderabad, presents ‘Marked Wings’, a solo exhibition by printmaker Gayatri Danthuri from October 27 to November 27, 2026, at its gallery in Madhapur which explored resilience and transformation; reflecting how lived experiences leave lasting impressions on individuals and the world around them.
Working primarily with woodcut and aquatint, Gayatri Danthuri examines the marks left by survival and change. The exhibition highlights the expressive possibilities of printmaking as both a technical process and a metaphor for lived experience. In woodcut, carved surfaces preserve the gestures of removal, allowing absence to become a form of expression. Aquatint introduces tonal depth and subtle gradations, creating atmospheric compositions that evoke the complexities of memory and emotion.
Gayatri Danthuri’s works have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Premio Acqui Biennale in Italy and Leicester Printmaking in London. Through woodcut and aquatint, she has developed a distinctive visual language that combines technical precision with an exploration of human emotions, psychological states and the complexities of contemporary life.
