Dr. Kota Neelima prays at temples for Ashada Bonalu

On the occasion of the Ashada Bonalu festival, TPCC Vice President and Congress Party In-charge for the Sanathnagar Assembly Constituency, Dr. Kota Neelima, visited several prominent temples dedicated to Goddess Durga and other local deities across Hyderabad and offered special prayers. Dr. Kota Neelima visited the Oora Muthyalamma, Pochammathalli and Nallapochamma temples in Begumpet Division; the Kanaka Durga Temple in Ameerpet Division; the Seven Temples in Sanathnagar Division; the Nallapochamma Temple in Czech Colony; the Chittaramma Temple in Moosapet; the Simhavahini Ammavari Temple at Lal Darwaza; and the Akkanna Madanna Devasthanam.

She performed special rituals at the temples and prayed for the well-being, prosperity, good health and happiness of the people. Dr. Kota Neelima said that Ashada Bonalu celebrations stand as a powerful representation of Telangana’s rich culture, traditions and spiritual beliefs. Dr. Kota Neelima mentioned thhat the state government had allocated Rs 20 crore specifically for the Bonalu celebrations and had made extensive arrangements to ensure that devotees faced no inconvenience.

Dr. Kota Neelima said the Congress government was according special priority to the development of temples, strengthening of endowment institutions and provision of improved facilities for devotees. Along with creating the necessary infrastructure for temple development, the government was also taking measures to preserve the sanctity, heritage and age-old traditions associated with these places of worship, she said.
