DCP Bhaskar highlights women’s safety measures

Mancherial Deputy Commissioner of Police Eggadi Bhaskar said on Saturday that the SHE TEAMS have been set up exclusively for the safety and security of women. On the occasion of “Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika” initiative, an event was held in Luxettipet town in which the DCP participated as the Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that with an intention of knowing the people’s problem first hand, officials were being sent to field visits every week, The DCP assured that police teams are taking steps to respond to 100 calls within five minutes.

Bhaskar expressed concern over the increasing number of incidents where young girls are being deceived in the name of love or for other reasons. He urged parents to pay special attention to their children and monitor their activities closely. He appealed to women to immediately contact the She Team if they face any harassment or indecent behaviour. The DCP also revealed that the police have recently taken action against approximately 70 individuals in cases related to the storage, sale, and consumption of ganja (cannabis).
