Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has hailed the record-breaking Rs 1.8 lakh crore investment inflows secured at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos as one of the greatest accomplishments of the Congress government since coming to power.

Speaking at a media conference in the State Secretariat on Tuesday, the Chief Minister emphasized that these investments symbolize the confidence of both Indian and international companies in the state’s economic potential. He assured that necessary land allocations and institutional support will be provided to facilitate these investments and initiatives.

Responding to opposition criticism regarding agreements with Hyderabad-based companies, the CM pointed out that the practice of signing investment pacts at Davos is widespread, citing the example of Reliance Group’s agreement with the Maharashtra government. “It’s not just Hyderabad or Indian companies; global corporations have also come forward to invest in Telangana,” he added.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Telangana is on the path to becoming a Rs 1 trillion economy, with the latest Davos achievements laying a strong foundation for this vision. He attributed the success to the Congress party’s consistent pro-growth policies, tracing back to the leadership of PV Narasimha Rao and Dr. Manmohan Singh, which have remained undeterred by political disputes.

Revanth Reddy also addressed concerns over alleged conspiracies to undermine Telangana’s economic growth by spreading misinformation about the state’s development and investments in Hyderabad. Taking a swipe at the opposition BRS, he said that efforts to create doubts about the government and its ability to attract investments had been proven wrong, as several major global companies chose to invest in the state.

Further, CM stressed on the landmark agreement of ITE Singapore with Skill University in Telangana. This initiative will focus on enhancing technological expertise and fostering skill development among the state’s youth and the faculty. “Our government remains committed to working collectively for the holistic development of Telangana. Together, we will ensure that the state reaches new heights of economic prosperity,” CM said.

Ministers Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Jupally Krishna Rao, Seethakka, MP Anil Kumar Yadav and MLAs participated in this press meet.
