Chennur: Ramagundam Police Commissioner Amber Kishore Jha inspected interstate checkpost at Rapanpally in Kotapally mandal of Mancherial district on Tuesday and directed intensified surveillance against illegal cattle transport ahead of Bakrid festival.

He reviewed security arrangements and instructed officials to thoroughly check every vehicle passing through the checkpost. He said transporters must carry valid documents and strict verification should be done in case of discrepancies. Special focus should be maintained on suspicious vehicles and legal action should be initiated wherever necessary.

The Commissioner stressed alertness during night duties and adherence to safety protocols. He also advised staff to take care of health while performing long duty hours at the checkpost.

He appealed to the public to cooperate with police and report any suspicious movement or illegal activity immediately.

Chennur CI Bansilal, Kotapally SI Rajasekhar and other staff accompanied him. Security checks will continue across the Mancherial border points during the festive season. Authorities said coordination among police units has been strengthened for effective enforcement operations in the region.
