In Jogulamba Gadwal district, differences between Congress members have flared up once again. The supporters of Former MLAs and former ZP chairpersons protested in front of the state Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. The district administration organized an awareness seminar on the new ROR Act Bhubharati at Dharur mandal center on Saturday.
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy was present as the chief guest at the program but the party activists protested after Gadwal MLA Krishna Mohan Reddy was invited to the stage and former MLA Sampath Kumar and former ZP chairperson Saritha were not invited. Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi tried to pacify the activists but they did not listen.
The supporters of Saritha protested demanding that the MLA wear the party scarf and go on stage or leave it . They complained that they were being insulted every time. From the beginning of the meeting until Minister Ponguleti spoke, the activists kept interrupting their speeches.
They shouted slogans against the MLA while he was speaking. Mallu Ravi was questioned about the reason for leaving those who worked for the party and giving a lift to those who joined the party for an opportunity. There was a verbal battle between the police and the Saritha’s supporters for some time. Finally, the police pacified them and sent them away, and the problem was resolved. Later, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy spoke to Saritha and inquired about the reasons for the fight.
