The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has asserted that the Congress government has failed to deliver on its election pledges after two and a half years in power, having achieved nothing for the public during its term.
Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan on Friday, BRS Assembly Whip and Quthbullapur MLA KP Vivekanand, accompanied by MLC Dasoju Sravan, accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of building his political career on deception and claimed that people from all segments of Telangana society have been misled by the Congress government's false promises.
Vivekanand highlighted the Chief Minister's evident lack of experience in governance, stating that no segment of the people is satisfied with the Congress government's performance.
The BRS MLA further alleged that government lands valued at approximately Rs 12,000 crore were sold under the Congress administration and called for an accounting of how these funds have been utilised.
He accused the Chief Minister of prioritising the acquisition of prime land around Hyderabad to benefit his relatives, suggesting that the state administration is being run as a real estate enterprise rather than a government.
Dasoju Sravan, a BRS MLC, contended that the HILT policy was crafted to favor specific private entities and facilitate a massive transfer of land assets. He claimed that a racket worth Rs 6 lakh crore is operating under this policy, with evidence of insider trading.
Sravan characterised the HILT policy as India's most significant land scam and described Chief Minister Revanth Reddy as acting like a real estate agent. He also announced that the BRS party will soon present a presentation and release a document detailing the encroachment of public properties during the Congress regime.
