CM Revanth asks officials to enhance road connectivity

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to build link roads in Hyderabad to address the increasing public demand for convenient travel within the city. He conducted a review of the ongoing construction and expansion of the link road network being managed by the Hyderabad Road Development Corporation (HRDCL), both in Hyderabad and within the limits of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).

During the review, Revanth Reddy provided various recommendations regarding the construction and expansion of the proposed 49 roads. He instructed the authorities to enhance road connectivity between different areas to facilitate smooth travel for residents. The Chief Minister emphasised that public interests should be prioritized in the development of link road networks and highlighted the importance of considering future needs during both the construction of new roads and the expansion of existing ones.

He said that the development of connecting roads should not only alleviate difficulties for travelers but also reduce their travel time. The Chief Minister further stated that land acquisition must be finalized, regardless of the elevated costs associated with the land. Chief Minister's Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, State Government Advisor (Infrastructure) Srinivasa Raju, State Chief Secretary  Santhi Kumari, Chief Minister's Principal Secretaries V. Seshadri, Chandrasekhar Reddy, CM Special Secretary Ajith Reddy, HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, Municipal Administrator and Urban Development Department Principal Secretary Dana Kishore and others were present in the meeting.
