Unemployed youth aspiring to join the police service should remain focused on their goal and avoid being drawn into politically motivated agitation programmes. Certain vested interests may attempt to use job aspirants for political mileage by encouraging them to participate in protests. Candidates should carefully assess the legal and career-related consequences before involving themselves in such activities.

Participation in unlawful protests or incidents that lead to criminal cases may seriously affect future government employment. Even a minor offence committed in the heat of the moment could become a major obstacle during character and antecedent verification. Aspirants should therefore exercise restraint, act responsibly, and safeguard their future by staying away from activities that may jeopardize their careers.

The police recruitment process is conducted in a transparent, fair, and merit-based manner by the Recruitment Board. Candidates should devote their time and energy to disciplined preparation, consistent practice, and a well-planned strategy instead of getting distracted by unnecessary controversies. The State Government has adopted a phased recruitment policy to strengthen the police department while creating employment opportunities. As part of the first phase, the Finance Department has approved filling 5,000 police vacancies, including Civil Police Constables, Armed Reserve Constables, and Sub-Inspectors. Following the completion of this phase, recruitment for an additional 2,000 police posts is expected.

Some groups are allegedly attempting to create confusion among candidates without considering the government's phased recruitment strategy. Recruiting a very large number of personnel in a single phase presents administrative and technical challenges, including maintaining training standards, ensuring adequate infrastructure and qualified instructors, and providing practical exposure. It may also create long-term issues relating to seniority, promotions, and career progression. Keeping these long-term administrative and professional considerations in view, the government has adopted a phased recruitment approach to ensure quality training, efficient administration, and sustainable career growth. Candidates should avoid misconceptions, remain cautious of politically motivated campaigns, make the best use of the opportunities provided, and work towards achieving their dream of serving in the police department through dedication, discipline, and merit.
