Telangana Cabinet meets today to clear key welfare proposals

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will chair a crucial meeting of the Telangana Cabinet at the Secretariat at 3 PM on Thursday. The Cabinet is expected to give its nod to the Indiramma Family Life Insurance Scheme, which offers ₹5 lakh financial protection to families in the event of the head of the household's death. The scheme is scheduled for roll-out on November 19, coinciding with former PM Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary.

State employees and pensioners are also likely to receive good news regarding the release of two pending Dearness Allowances (DAs). Additionally, the Cabinet will assess the Keshava Rao Committee's recommendations on merging polytechnic colleges into the Skill University. Key urban and infrastructure projects, including the Musi Riverfront project, Hyderabad Metro, barrage restoration, and preparations for December's Global Summit, will also undergo detailed review.
