Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar on  Thursday issued orders suspending BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy from the House until the end of the Assembly budget sessions. Legislative Affairs Minister Sridhar Babu moved a motion in the Assembly to suspend Jagadish Reddy. The Speaker ordered Jagadish Reddy to leave the House immediately. BRS Members expressed strong objection to Jagadish Reddy's suspension and condemned the government's unilateral decision.

At the first, an intense confrontation ensued between Members of the ruling and opposition parties during a session in the Assembly, focusing on a motion to express gratitude to the Governor's speech. The debate took a chaotic turn as comments from BRS MLA and former minister Jagadish Reddy sparked controversy within the House.

While addressing the Assembly, Jagadish Reddy condemned the Governor's address, claiming it contained "360 lies in 36 minutes." He expressed curiosity about the Governor’s feelings while delivering such remarks and questioned why the government appeared hesitant to address issues affecting farmers.

As Jagadish Reddy spoke, ruling party MLAs interrupted with slogans directed at the BRS, prompting an emphatic response from Reddy, who insisted that the ruling party MLAs refrain from shouting and remain silent.

In response, Government Whip Aadi Srinivas stepped in, emphasizing the need to show respect for the position of the Governor. The Congress MLA questioned the behavior of the opposition and condemned the remarks of BRS MLA. Later, Jagadish Reddy alleged that it was not he who misled the discussion, but the Congress party itself.

Minister Sridhar Babu responded, saying that the ruling party Members only pointed out the failures of the BRS and questioned what was wrong with that. He added that while the previous government couldn't achieve results in ten years, the Congress government had shown progress within a year.

At this point, Speaker Prasad Kumar intervened and advised Jagadish Reddy to speak only on the topics mentioned in the Governor’s speech. The Speaker urged BRS Members to remain patient and follow Assembly traditions. He warned against violating the decorum of the House.

Jagadish Reddy, however, expressed strong discontent with the Speaker’s comments. He questioned whether the Speaker owned the Assembly and demanded clarity on what exactly was against Assembly traditions.

As the argument escalated, ruling and opposition Members clashed over Jagadish Reddy’s remarks. Congress MLAs demanded an immediate apology from him. In response, Jagadish Reddy stated that he would speak only after clarifying the Speaker’s powers and Members’ rights. With the situation turning chaotic, the Speaker adjourned the session for 15 minutes.

After the session began, Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Seethakka and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and other Congress MLAs condemned BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy’s derogatory remarks and asked the Speaker to take a stringent action.

Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, who took everyone's opinion into consideration, announced that he was suspending Jagadish Reddy from the House until the end of the ongoing Assembly budget sessions.
