Mahabubabad District Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr. Shabarish said that donating blood to people in life-threatening situations is equivalent to saving their lives. He made these remarks during a mega blood donation camp organized at the divisional headquarters in Thorrur as part of Police Martyrs’ Remembrance programs. A total of 120 units of blood were collected at the camp.
Dr. Shabarish said the services and sacrifices of police martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty would never be forgotten. He noted that the police department organizes various social service activities every year as part of the martyrs’ remembrance programs. The primary objective of these initiatives is to highlight the spirit of sacrifice demonstrated by the martyrs and encourage a sense of service among people, he said.
He stressed the need to create greater public awareness about blood donation, particularly among young people, and encouraged them to participate actively in social service initiatives. Dr. Shabarish expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all volunteers who came forward to donate blood at the camp on behalf of the police department.
