The Telangana government’s landmark “Bhubharati” Act, aimed at protecting land rights, ensuring transparency, and delivering corruption-free services to the common man, has completed one year of implementation. On Monday, a review meeting was held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat with senior officials to mark the occasion. The meeting reviewed the progress of the Bhubharati portal, which was launched exactly one year ago on April 14 last year – Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary .

Speaking on the achievements, officials highlighted that in the past one year, 3.80 lakh passbooks have been issued through the portal. More than 5.20 crore people have visited the Bhubharati portal, while around 67 lakh users have logged in to avail various services.  As part of the next phase, the integrated Bhubharati portal services were experimentally launched on April 2 in five mandals across five districts. In these mandals, every survey number will be assigned a unique Bhudhar number.

The government plans to bid farewell to the Nizam era old survey system by conducting fresh surveys using Rovers (advanced surveying equipment) in 70 revenue villages in each district. So far, 411 Rovers have been procured, and another 400 are expected to be purchased shortly. To strengthen the system, the government has decided to appoint four to six surveyors per mandal depending on the land area. The state’s 10,984 revenue villages have been divided into clusters and Ground Level Personnel (GPOs) have been appointed for better coordination.
