The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi (BGUS) has urged the Telangana government to provide financial assistance to the families of devotees who lost their lives in accidents during Ganesh festival celebrations across the state and ensure free, comprehensive medical treatment for the injured until their full recovery.
A delegation led by BGUS president G. Raghava Reddy met Transport Minister and Hyderabad District In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Saturday and submitted a representation seeking immediate relief for the affected families.
The Samithi requested financial assistance to the families of the deceased and support for injured devotees, including quality medical treatment at government expense and financial aid during their recovery.The delegation appealed to the Minister to take up the matter with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and ensure the speedy delivery of relief.
Responding positively, Ponnam Prabhakar assured the delegation that he would discuss the issue with the Chief Minister and seek government support for the victims and their families.The delegation included BGUS general secretary Dr. Ravinuthala Shashidhar and committee representatives Karodimal, Ale Bhaskar, K. Mahender, Aruna Jyothi and Sanjay.
