BC JAC demands Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation

BC JAC Chairman Jajula Srinivas Goud on Wednesday demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alleging that the Centre had failed to conduct the NEET examination in a fair and transparent manner. Addressing a press conference at the BC JAC state office in Hyderabad, he said the BJP was giving more importance to protecting a minister than safeguarding the future of nearly 22 lakh students.

He alleged that the Centre's handling of the NEET paper leak had triggered protests across the country and questioned the BJP's commitment to ethical values. Srinivas Goud urged the Union government to ensure strict action against all those responsible for the alleged irregularities and punish those involved in the paper leak.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's reported remarks that states also share responsibility in conducting NEET, he said if the Centre could not effectively manage the examination, it should abolish the existing system and hand over the responsibility of conducting medical entrance tests to the states.

The BC JAC chairman also expressed support for the ongoing protests by students in Delhi, alleging that the Centre had failed to respond to their concerns and instead allowed police action against demonstrators. He announced that BC JAC would continue its agitation until the students' demands were addressed and Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his post.
