Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday performed ‘bhumi puja’ (foundation-laying ceremony) for development works worth Rs 225 crore at the Goddess Saraswathi temple in Nirmal district. On this occasion, CM Revanth Reddy and his family performed the sacred Akshara Bhyasam ritual for his grandson, invoking blessings of Goddess Saraswati at the spiritually significant venue.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, along with other ministers, MLAs, and leaders, was present on the occasion. Reddy, accompanied by his family members, also offered special prayers at the temple in Basara.
He asked officials to ensure the development of wide roads to accommodate the growing number of devotees and directed that only electric vehicles be allowed within the temple premises. Reddy also directed officials to tighten regulations to preserve the temple’s sanctity.
He vowed to transform Basara into the finest and greatest Saraswati temple in the country. Expansion works have already begun. The CM also assured development of the Gudem Satyanarayana Temple in the district.
The Chief Minister assured the people that he would return to Adilabad soon to personally oversee these initiatives and reiterated that inclusive development beyond political lines remains the government’s top priority.
