Babil earns scuba diving certification

Actor Babil Khan has shared his love for the ocean and scuba diving, saying that earning his Specialty Diver certification marks another step in his journey of exploring the underwater world.

“Scuba diving has been such a beautiful way for me to connect with the ocean and experience a world that exists beyond what we see on the surface. Getting my Specialty Diver certification feels like another step in a journey I want to keep exploring, learning and growing through,” Babil told IANS. 

“There is something incredibly humbling about being underwater, surrounded by marine life and witnessing the ocean in its own element. It reminds you how much there is to discover and how much we still have to learn about the world around us,” he said. 

“I hope to keep diving deeper, exploring new places and experiencing more of what the ocean has to offer. I hope we can all become a little more conscious of the need to protect our oceans and the life they sustain,” Babil concluded.

Parineeti Chopra: A dedicated ocean lover who achieved the rare title of Master Scuba Diver after years of training and over a hundred dives.

Alia Bhatt: A certified scuba diver who balances her film career with underwater exploration and meditative practices like Vipassana.

Sonakshi Sinha: Certified in the Maldives and later named a PADI Ambassadiver alongside husband Zaheer Iqbal, regularly diving in the Andamans and Maldives.

Sushmita Sen: The former Miss Universe is a certified scuba diver and also learnt skin diving (breath-hold diving) at the age of 43.

Shraddha Kapoor: The actress is a certified Advanced Scuba Diver. She reportedly helped her Baaghi (2016) co-star Tiger Shroff for a underwater sequence in the film.

In April 2021, at age 83, Waheeda Rehman turned her aquatic goals into reality by snorkeling alongside her daughter, Kashvi Rekhy, in the clear waters of Havelock
