Awareness program conducted on World Autism Day at Neredmet

On the occasion of World Autism Day, an awareness program was grandly conducted on Thursday in Neredmet by the Federation of Differently-Abled Organizations in Hyderabad.

The event was graced by the chief guest Dr. K Vijayanirmala, Medical Officer at PHC Malkajgiri. Speakers like K Lakshmi, Secretary, PAAC Organization, K Vishnu Priya, M.Sc. Psychology, President of Laksha Sadhana Organization, H K Vimala, Speech Therapist, Helen Keller Organization, Yashaswini, Occupational Therapist, Helen Keller Organization and Dr. B Shyam, Secretary, Alamban Special School were present in the program.

The event was organized under the leadership of the YUVARD Differently-Abled Federation, with participation from Professor P Umar Khan, Chairman, D Shyamala, Vice Chairman, P Paparao, Joint Secretary, T Madhusudan Reddy, General Secretary and local ASHA workers.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vijayanirmala emphasized that ASHA workers will always support the health and development of students. She also appreciated the efforts of YUVARD in raising awareness about autism and supporting intellectually challenged children, along with extending assistance to other schools for the differently-abled.
