As part of the Anti-Drug Awareness Week being observed across Telangana ahead of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Hyderabad Police organized a special awareness programme at Sattva Knowledge City in the Rayadurgam police station limits.
Around 200 software employees and officials participated in the event aimed at promoting a drug-free lifestyle and raising awareness about the dangers of narcotic substances. Addressing the gathering, Kukatpally DCP Rithiraj highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse and urged employees and youth to stay away from addictive substances. He encouraged participants to adopt healthy lifestyles and contribute to building a drug-free society.
During the programme, the messages “Say No to Drugs – Choose Life, Choose a Drug-Free Future” and “No Drugs... Embrace a Better Future” were widely promoted among participants.
Madhapur ACP C.H. Sridhar, Rayadurgam SHO C.H. Venkanna, DI Bhoopathi, police personnel and IT professionals were among those who attended the awareness drive. The initiative forms part of a statewide campaign to educate the public about the social and health consequences of drug abuse.
