The ACB officials today interrogated BRS party working president KTR for 6.30 hours in the Formula E-car race case. ACB DSP Majeed Khan, who is the investigating officer in the case, grilled KTR and asked different questions related to the case.
The investigation was supervised by the Joint Director of the ACB Rithi Raj. KTR's lawyer Ramachandra Rao was allowed to observe the proceedings from a different room. The ACB officials have asked KTR to appear for questioning whenever he is called in the case.
After the interrogation by ACB officer, KTR spoke to the media. He said, "I have fully cooperated with the ACB investigator. As per my understanding, I answered the questions asked by them,” he said.
He also said whenever he was called for a hearing, no matter how many times he would be called, he would come and cooperate and I added that as to when he would be called for the investigation again.
He once again termed the case as a completely absurd one. “One question was asked in 40 different ways. There is nothing new to ask for. I'm saying we've sent the money from here while they're saying that the money is here. I asked them where the corruption took place in this,” he said.
Meanwhile, KTR suffered a setback in the Supreme Court in the Formula E-car race case. The Telangana High Court had dismissed a petition seeking quashing of the FIR registered by the ACB in the formula e-car race case. KTR filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Tuesday evening challenging the High Court verdict. However, the Supreme Court refused to urgently hear the petition on Friday.
The Highest court of the country said it would hear KTR’s petition on January 15. The CJ made it clear that since it was listed for hearing on January 15, it would be heard on the same day. The court observed that there was no need to hear KTR's petition till then.
