‘17 of 75 MoUs signed at Global Summit commenced operations’

Telangana Minister D Sridhar Babu on Friday said 17 of the 75 MoUs signed at the Telangana Rising Global Summit in December last year had commenced operations. The remaining projects are at various stages of implementation, he said, replying to queries during Question Hour in the Assembly.

During 2025-26, the state government signed 108 MoUs with investors from sectors such as IT and data centres, he said.

The state government is organising initiatives—the Telangana Rising Global Summit, BioAsia, national and international roadshows, and sector-specific conclaves to attract investments into Telangana, he said.

The Telangana government has established a dedicated Investor Facilitation System with designated nodal officers to ensure a hassle-free experience for investors, Sridhar Babu said.

Acknowledging that not all MoUs signed with investors may materialise, the state Industries minister said the government was making efforts to ensure their implementation on the ground.

Alleging that the previous BRS government had proposed setting up 'red category' industries with high pollution potential in the Pharma City on the outskirts of Hyderabad, he said the present government was committed to establishing Green Pharma industries there.

He said the government was committed to promoting the growth and development of MSMEs in Telangana and was providing several incentives to support the sector.

The state government was working to establish sectoral industrial corridors, with a focus on export-oriented industries, while prioritising Green Category industries and encouraging investments in the sector, he added.

The Telangana Rising Global Summit-2025, organised near Hyderabad, was a remarkable success and attracted significant global attention to the state's transformative development agenda, Sridhar Babu had said.
