Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna on Tuesday accused the BJP-led NDA government of 'financial injustice', claiming Telangana gets only “30 paise for every rupee contributed.”

Speaking on the Finance Bill in Parliament, the Congress MP said his constituency contributes up to Rs.30,000 crore through major industries like NTPC and Singareni, but receives just Rs.100 – Rs.150 crore in return which is equivalent to peanuts. He flagged pending demands which included Universities, an ESI hospital and tourism funds, while alleging bias in shifting a semiconductor project to Andhra Pradesh state. Calling the disparity “unfair”, Vamsi accused the Centre of favouring corporates over the poor.

Referring to the MNREGA scheme, Vamsi said, “There is a wonderful scheme, whereby the worker will earn 200 rupees a day. But after this government came, for the last 10 years, even after spending 7 lakh crores on the scheme, only 200 rupees was given to the worker. This is a big scam.”
