Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has crossed the milestone of two million (20 lakh) followers on Facebook, marking a significant achievement in his digital outreach and public engagement efforts.

The latest milestone comes less than a year after his Facebook following crossed 1.5 million in July 2025, reflecting a steady rise in his popularity on social media platforms. The growth has positioned him among the most-followed political leaders from Telangana on Facebook.

According to information shared by his team, Uttam Kumar Reddy’s official Facebook page regularly features updates on government initiatives, irrigation projects, paddy procurement operations, welfare programmes, constituency activities and interactions with citizens. The page has also been used to communicate information related to public welfare and development programmes undertaken by the state government.

Political observers attribute the increase in followers to his active engagement with the public and regular communication on issues such as irrigation development, food security, farmer welfare and Telangana’s growth agenda. They note that social media has become an important platform for political leaders to connect directly with citizens and share information on governance-related activities.

Over the past two years, Uttam Kumar Reddy’s digital presence has expanded considerably alongside his role in implementing key government programmes. Supporters and Congress leaders view the two-million-follower milestone as an indication of his growing public reach and influence, both within Telangana and among audiences beyond the state through digital platforms.
