Kyiv: Ukrainian forces struck multiple oil and fuel facilities in Russia and Russian-occupied Crimea overnight, targeting energy infrastructure linked to Moscow’s war effort, Ukrainian and Russian officials said on Monday.
Ukraine said strikes hit the Grushovaya oil transshipment base in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai region, the Krasny Yar facility in Volgograd, and fuel storage sites in Crimea, including near Feodosia. Russian authorities confirmed a fire at the Grushovaya facility and said there were no casualties.
Russia’s Defence Ministry said it shot down 310 Ukrainian drones overnight, including over the Moscow region, Crimea and the Black Sea. Ukraine said Russia launched 155 drones, of which 124 were intercepted or suppressed. Russian drone attacks injured civilians in the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Chernihiv regions, Ukrainian officials said. A Ukrainian drone strike on a passenger train in occupied Crimea killed the driver’s assistant and injured the driver, Russian authorities said.
