The Commissioner’s Task Force, Jubilee Hills Zone, in coordination with Mailardevpally Police, arrested two interstate offenders and seized two country-made pistols, seven live bullets, a car, and three mobile phones worth around Rs. 5 lakh.

The accused were identified as Mudassir Hussain alias Shah Baba (24), a car dealer from Charminar, Hyderabad, and Ameer Khan (26), a lorry driver from Nanded in Maharashtra. Police intercepted their Baleno car near Mehfil Hotel in Mailardevpally on Thursday following credible information that they were moving around the area allegedly planning to commit a serious offence.

Investigations revealed that Mudassir had earlier been involved in vehicle trading and allegedly developed links with criminal elements in Maharashtra. Police said he had previously been arrested in cases related to dacoity, kidnapping and illegal possession of firearms. Ameer Khan also has criminal cases registered against him in Maharashtra and Telangana.

The Task Force recovered two country-made pistols, seven bullets, the vehicle used by the accused and three mobile phones. Further investigation is underway.
