Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to study the policy being followed in Tirumala Tirupati to finalise modalities for allocation of lands at the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district.

Reddy, who held a meeting with officials on Yadagirigutta temple development, instructed them to prepare a list of those who want to build guesthouses at the temple and give permission in a phased-manner. He suggested following the model being implemented by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), the governing body of Lord Venkateswara temple, for construction of guesthouses, an official release said.

The CM instructed that a policy be prepared for allotment of lands at the temple to various mutts (religious bodies) and caste associations. He directed that land be allocated to the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Foundation as per market rate. The chief minister also asked the officials to study the report of a committee of engineers on construction works at the temple and submit it to him.
