TS Ministers depart for Dehradun to attend Chintan Shivir

Telangana ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Seethakka left Shamshabad Airport for Dehradun to participate in the Chintan Shivir, a two-day event on April 7th and 8th, chaired by Union Social Justice Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar. The event will bring together ministers from across India representing BCs, SCs, and scheduled tribes. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar is set to highlight Telangana's welfare schemes for backward classes, including initiatives for their development and the implementation of 42% reservations in education, employment, and politics.

He will also discuss the caste census and its significance as a guiding framework for the nation. Minister Seethakka will focus on Telangana's efforts for the welfare and development of senior citizens, differently-abled individuals, transgender persons, and other marginalized groups. She will elaborate on the state's schemes aimed at their upliftment. The Chintan Shivir will also address collaboration between states and the central government in implementing welfare laws and schemes.

Discussions will cover various societal segments, including manual scavengers, nomadic tribes, economically weaker sections, and addiction recovery victims. The event will see participation from BC Welfare Commissioner Balamayadevi and other welfare department officials, emphasizing the importance of inclusive development and social justice.
