Traffic seminar held at Nanal Nagar, helmets distributed

A Traffic Awareness Seminar was organized at Nanal Nagar in Hyderabad on Monday, under the administrative jurisdiction of the Kulsumpura Traffic Police Station, Golconda Zone, to promote road safety and strengthen compliance with traffic regulations. The programme was led by Additional DCP (Traffic, Golconda Zone) C. Venugopal Reddy and ACP (Traffic, Golconda Zone) D. Dhanalakshmi, who addressed motorists and local residents on the importance of disciplined road usage.

Officials stressed mandatory helmet usage for both rider and pillion riders on two-wheelers and clarified that children above four years of age must also wear helmets. They highlighted compulsory seat belt usage for all occupants of motor vehicles and urged drivers to follow lane discipline, avoid overtaking from the left, and ensure heavy vehicles adhere strictly to prescribed speed limits.

As part of the awareness drive, around 15 helmets were distributed free of cost to eligible motorists in coordination with the HCSC Team and Young India Team to reinforce the importance of protective gear.

The event was attended by Inspector G. Venkateshwarlu of Tolichowki Traffic and Inspector M. Rajendra Prasad of Kulsumpura Traffic, along with other personnel.
