Three brothers get 10-year jail for murder in Madhapur

A court in Cyberabad has convicted three brothers in a 2016 murder case that occurred in Madhapur. The VI Additional District and Sessions Court in Kukatpally sentenced Mahendra Prasad Mishra (29), Dharmendra Prasad Mishra (45), and Birendra Prasad Mishra (37), all natives of Madhya Pradesh, to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 2,000 each.

The case relates to Crime No. 701/2016 registered at Madhapur Police Station under Sections 302 and 323 of the IPC. According to police, the incident occurred on November 18, 2016, when a quarrel broke out among four brothers who were living in a rented room at Siddiqnagar, Madhapur.

After hearing commotion, the house owner, with the help of neighbours, opened the room and found Devendra Prasad Mishra lying in a pool of blood with severe cut and blunt injuries to his throat. Police investigation revealed that the three accused attacked him with a knife and a window glass plank, causing his death. Following investigation, police filed a charge sheet, leading to their conviction after trial.
