TGOCA demands implementation of 2nd PRC

12-02-2026 12:00:00 AM

The Telangana Gazetted Officers’ Central Association (TGOCA) has urged the State Government to immediately address pending financial and administrative issues concerning government employees, particularly the implementation of the Second Pay Revision Commission (2nd PRC) and the lifting of the transfer ban.

In representations submitted to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Chief Secretary, TGOCA President Eluri Srinivasa Rao and General Secretary B. Shyam highlighted the pressing concerns of employees across the State.

The Association demanded the immediate implementation of the 2nd PRC with a 42% fitment, citing rising inflation and the steep increase in essential commodity prices. It stated that the existing 5% Interim Relief (IR) is grossly inadequate to meet employees’ financial needs. TGOCA also called for the immediate release of four pending Dearness Allowances (DAs) due from 01-01-2024 to 01-07-2025.

Pointing out that over 22 months have passed since the PRC report deadline lapsed, the Association expressed concern over the severe financial hardships faced by employees, including difficulties in paying children’s school fees, medical expenses, and EMIs. It appealed to the Deputy Chief Minister to allocate necessary funds in the 2026–27 State Budget for PRC implementation.

Further, TGOCA requested the lifting of the transfer ban, emphasizing that many employees have been working at the same location for 6 to 13 years. The Association urged the Government to initiate general transfers in April/May 2026, before the commencement of the new academic year, ensuring fair opportunities for eligible employees.

TGOCA appealed to the Government to sympathetically consider these just demands and take immediate action.
