‘Telangana to foster AI in healthcare’

Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics, Communications, Industries & Commerce, Government of Telangana, inaugurated on Saturday a 2 days International Conference on AI in Healthcare 2.0 organized by  Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City. Organized under the theme "Powering Precision & Personalizing Care," the conference is the largest international medical conference dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare.  

Minister Sridhar Babu launched the event along with Dr. G. S. Rao, Managing Director of Yashoda Hospitals. Under the leadership of Dr. Chinnababu Sunkavalli, Organizing Chairperson, the event features extensive discussions on Precision Medicine, AI-powered Diagnostics, Digital Pathology, Robotic Surgery, Drug Discovery, Clinical AI Applications, and other cutting-edge healthcare technologies.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Sridhar Babu mentioned that Telangana Government is committed to fostering AI, digital innovation and deep-tech ecosystems. This conference has strengthened collaboration among researchers, startups, industry leaders and policymakers, further positioning Telangana as a global innovation hub, he said. Addressing the gathering, Dr. G. S. Rao, Managing Director of Yashoda Hospitals explained how, from early disease detection and clinical decision-making to personalized treatment approaches, AI is delivering remarkable outcomes.

Dr. Chinnababu Sunkavalli, Clinical Director and Robotic Surgical Oncologist, Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, remarked that AI is playing a critical role in enabling more accurate diagnoses, efficient clinical workflows and personalized treatment strategies.
