Metro India News | Hyderabad : Açaí Stations, a new B2B foodservice brand offering authentic Brazilian açaí, launched an exclusive tasting experience at Tourism Plaza, Begumpet, Hyderabad. The venture has been founded by 18-year-old Melbourne-based nutrition science student Satya Dheer Bisam and his 17-year-old Hyderabad-based brother and co-founder Surya Karthik Puligilla. The company aims to bring wild-harvested açaí from Belém, Pará, Brazil to India’s growing wellness and foodservice market.
The launch event was attended by Chikoti Praveen, Dr. Usha Yanamandra, Dr. Poornima Durga and Dr. S. Chinna Reddy, along with representatives from the lifestyle, food and beverage and media sectors.
The idea behind Açaí Stations was inspired by the growing popularity of açaí cafes in Australia and the founders’ observation of the demand for healthier and convenient food options in India. The company aims to offer authentic açaí in ready-to-serve formats, providing food businesses with an alternative to powdered products.
Satya Dheer Bisam, Co-founder of Açaí Stations and a first-year Nutrition Science student at Deakin University, said the venture was created to bring a more authentic açaí experience to India.
Açaí Stations has developed its products for cafes, juice bars, gelaterias, hotels, dessert outlets and other foodservice businesses. The company currently offers two formats designed to reduce preparation time and operational requirements.
The Machine-Ready Liquid Açaí is formulated for commercial soft-serve and dispenser machines, offering a smooth consistency and easy pouring. The Ready-to-Go Açaí Sorbet uses wild-harvested Euterpe oleracea pulp that is blast-frozen and single-blended at origin in Belém, Pará.
Stored at -18°C, each 500g tub provides approximately seven 70g gelato-style servings. The product contains no artificial colours, is dairy-free and requires no complex back-of-house blending.
