16,347 teacher posts with mega DSC will be announced soon

Education Minister Nara Lokesh on Monday brought many things relating to his portfolio to the notice of the house during the ongoing Assembly sessions and participated in detailed discussion about them. During the Question Hour, he discussed the budget heads. He assured that the recruitment of 16,347 teacher posts with mega DSC will be announced soon.

He said that it will cost Rs 3,000 crore to complete the compound walls of schools across AP. He said that the government will take up “Mana Badi-Mana Bhavishyatthu”(our school-our future) in a phased manner under employment guarantee scheme. Regarding the issue of drugs in educational institutions ,he said that the government has launched a campaign called 'No Drugs Bro'.

It was announced that eagle teams would be formed in every school. These are being set up in all colleges and schools. Minister Lokesh also said that the government is planning to provide infrastructure and good education based on star rating at the parent-teacher meeting.

He alleged that with 117 GO issued by previous YSRCP government, education has been taken away from the poorest of the poor and that the number of students  have reduced by 12 lakh students during the previous Jagan government. He said that alternatives for 117 GO will be discussed with elected representatives and teacher’s associations and based on their suggestions the government will proceed further. He admitted that there were allegations on quality of works against “Nadu-Nedu”(improving infrastructure in schools) program and said that government has called for a report about it.

“CCTV cameras and lighting will be installed at schools. CSR funds should be brought in and developed under the Learning Excellence of AP, Just as Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan is carrying out development works in his departments through CSR, the same needs to be done in education department also.” Minister Lokesh announced in the assembly.
