The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has officially announced its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections scheduled to be held on June 18. Party national president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu released the list of three candidates who will contest on behalf of the party. Industrialist Sana Satish, noted educationist and chairman of Bhashyam Educational Institutions Bhashyam Ramakrishna, and senior party leader Chintakayala Vijay have been selected as the TDP nominees.

The announcement puts an end to weeks of speculation within political and party circles regarding the selection of candidates for the prestigious Upper House seats. The party leadership held extensive consultations before finalizing the names, balancing representation from business, education and organizational backgrounds.

Sana Satish is a well-known industrialist with significant business interests, while Bhashyam Ramakrishna is a prominent figure in the education sector and has built one of Andhra Pradesh's leading educational institutions. Chintakayala Vijay has been an active and influential voice in the party's social media and digital outreach operations and has played a key role in strengthening the party's communication strategy over the years.

Following the announcement, Chandrababu Naidu personally invited the three candidates to his camp office and handed over the B-forms required for filing nominations. The candidates are scheduled to submit their nomination papers on Monday.

The party's decision was formally communicated through an official press release issued from the TDP national headquarters in Mangalagiri. The Rajya Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh have gained considerable political significance as four seats are falling vacant this month.

As part of the seat-sharing arrangement within the NDA alliance, one of the four Rajya Sabha seats has been allotted to the Jana Sena Party. The party has already finalized noted industrialist Lingamaneni Ramesh as its candidate for the seat. With the NDA coalition enjoying a comfortable majority in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, the alliance is expected to secure all four Rajya Sabha seats without difficulty.

The selection of the three candidates reflects the TDP leadership's attempt to bring together experience from diverse fields while also rewarding individuals who have contributed to the party's growth and outreach efforts. The nominations are expected to be filed formally on Monday, paving the way for the June 18 election process.
