TCA has submitted an urgent representation to Justice (Retd.) P. Naveen Rao, Single Member Committee overseeing Hyderabad Cricket Association, and to the Board of Control for Cricket in India, seeking immediate restraint on the proposed TG20 League launched by HCA.

It alleged that despite long-standing concerns over financial irregularities, adverse committee observations, and pending criminal cases, HCA is attempting to launch a high-value franchise-based league through a self-declared TG20 Governing Council without approval of its General Body and without written sanction from BCCI.

It stated the proposed league involves franchises, sponsorships, and commercial contracts could result in financial mismanagement and legal violations, misleading players and stakeholders by projecting an unauthorised statewide cricket authority.

The association further alleged that HCA is expanding its activities into Telangana districts outside Hyderabad, where it has no formal administrative structure, and is attempting to restructure A and B Division leagues using district identities, including district name use without approval.

TCA said actions violate provisions of the BCCI Constitution, including Rules 3(b), 3(c), 23, 25, 28, 30, 31 and 38, and may attract consequences including derecognition. It noted the issue is sub judice before Bombay High Court WP No. 3678/2023 and linked to BCCI Working Group order dated 11 July 2021 and a joint meeting on 18 February 2026 under Justice Naveen Rao supervision.

TCA warned may initiate legal proceedings if immediate restraint is not imposed.
